Microsoft Power BI Desktop User Course Course Details

The course:

  • Makes use of the free Microsoft Power BI Desktop application. This application has the ability to create reports and dashboards using diverse data sources. The course also introduces the functionality of the web-based application
  • Instruct the delegates in use of diverse data sources
  • Focuses on the skills that will be needed to compile reports. The reports that are created will serve as the source for the dashboard users
  • Covers all the built-in visualizations in detail, with the relevant exercises
  • Covers the custom visualizations on the Microsoft and third-party websites
  • Gives some guidelines for report and dashboard design


It is intended for use by non-IT staff, including both Line and Senior Managers, Personal Assistants, Business Analysts, BI Specialists, and Knowledge Workers


Delegates must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, and either Microsoft Edge, Microsoft IE, or Google Chrome Delegates should have a working knowledge of either Microsoft Excel or another reporting tool Delegates should have experience in doing reporting

About Microsoft Power BI Desktop User Course

Delivery Method

Instructor Led classroom based training. Scheduled classes are normally held in Woodmead - near to Sandton in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. Stationary and textbook included. Refreshments, including 2 tea breaks and a cooked meal for lunch are provided for full time courses. Contact hours are between 9am to 4pm.
