Lita Currie
Lita Currie is the owner and director of 3 Stickmen, a learning and development company based in Johannesburg, South Africa. With more than 25 years’ experience in helping people learn, Lita is an expert in using pictures to create meaning. She has 22 years’ experience in the corporate learning and development space, focusing on building competence in areas as diverse as logistics, warehousing, supply chain, human resources and finance. She has been part of developing and implementing global development programmes for a blue chip FMCG company and has consulted in Europe, the USA and Africa.
In 2004 she won a citation from the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) for her work in training successful small logistics businesses in South Africa. She served on the advisory board of the (then) South African branch of the ASTD for 2 years. She is also associated with TalentTalks.net, a platform for having conversations about talent in Africa.
Lita uses pictures, created in the moment, to run company vision sessions, goal setting and problem solving. She works with a variety of business schools to teach executives and business leaders how to think visually in order to be more creative and competitive. Her particular passion is graphic recording, where she captures visually conversations, talks and conferences. She has worked with many diverse clients including banking, mining, education, information technology and manufacturing.
An interesting application of this skill is business coaching. A lot of business people are very used to logical and analytical thinking – bringing pictures to coaching sessions provides a new lens for them to see obstacles and opportunities.
She is a member of the International Forum of Visual Practitioners (IFVP). She holds a B.A from the University of the Free State, a B.Ed (honors) with Wits University, a certificate in Professional Business Coaching with GIBS and a certificate in Systemic Team Coaching with Henley Business School.

During an Introduction to Visual Thinking, you will master the basic visual language to use in business and facilitation. Learn how to add interest and fun by including pictures in your sessions and meetings. Your participants will be more engaged, and retention will increase. The course includes a professional set of drawing markers.
This one-day specialised workshop will help you teach participants:

Pre-Requisites
Ability to hold a marker and a willingness to try something new and think creatively.
Course Outline / Curriculum
This one-day intensive practical workshop, is hosted by a professional visual thinker and graphic facilitator with extensive knowledge and experience in converting content into easy to see and understand visuals. She is an expert at simplifying and codifying in pictures, what is happening in a room.
She will assist you to think graphically, to use the professional toolkit supplied, and develop a master page of visual icons for your specific working world, helping you to use the icons to capture meaning and reinforce learning in your world.
Most of the workshop is practical - you will work with your own tools in front of your own flip chart and create beautiful visuals that will amaze you.
It is an intense day - but you will leave feeling alive with possibility and exhausted from the creative effort.

- If you have fewer delegates and cannot pay for 6, we can negotiate a shortened course where some of the time will be spent in blended learning - watching videos and doing tutorials and exercises with some contact time with the trainer. We would want to discuss what your core needs are so that we cover those aspects. You need to have paid for 3 delegates at least.
