This course delves into advanced shell scripting and the customisation of the shell environment for automated tasks. It covers vital administrative duties such as user and group management, job scheduling, and maintaining system time. Finally, the curriculum provides a deep dive into internet protocols, network troubleshooting, and data encryption.

This course is a follow-on from System Administration 1.

This course will help prepare you to write the second of two exams needed to achieve the LPIC-1 certification. This course covers the 102-500 exam objectives. Please note that the exam costs are not included in the course fee. After completing the course, you can purchase an exam voucher on the LPI website to write the exam online.  Note that you will need to have passed exam 101-500 before you can write 102-500.
