You have a good understanding of the role that reporting plays in the decision-making process of your organisation and you are proficient in the basic use of Microsoft Excel. You need to build reports and dashboards with the minimum involvement of the IT Department, for deployment on internal servers, Microsoft OneDrive, Web interfaces, tablets, and smartphones. Come and learn how to use Microsoft Power BI (Business Intelligence).

In this course you will learn to:

  • Use the MS Power BI Desktop and Power BI Web application
  • Load and report on existing Excel and CSV data
  • Present and visualise Data using Reports and Dashboards
  • Share Reports and Dashboards with colleagues
  • Use Best Practices for compiling Reports and Dashboards using a BI tool

Audience

Companies need to visualise data and information using a tool that can create shareable reports and dashboards with minimal support from the IT Department. This course introduces Microsoft Power BI, a free user-friendly tool that uses Microsoft Excel, CSV, Microsoft Access, SQL Server and non-Microsoft sources as data sources. It is intended for use by non-IT staff, including both Line and Senior Managers, Personal Assistants, Business Analysts, BI Specialists, and Knowledge Workers.

Pre-Requisites

Delegates should be able to use Microsoft Excel on a basic level. You should be comfortable in the Windows environment and be able to use Windows to manage information on your computer.
