  • Definition of a project as a temporary, non-routine initiative with specific objectives 
  • Distinction between projects and ongoing operations 
  • Use of problem analysis techniques to identify project opportunities 
  • Application of project selection models: 
    • Non-numeric decision models 
    • Financial evaluation methods (payback, ROI, NPV) 
    • Weighted scoring models for balanced decision-making 

 

Scoping the Project
