Bernard has more than 15 Years of experience as part-time and full-time lecturer and trainer: University of Pretoria (Hons class in Informatics), Monash (First Year Introduction to Business Computing and Second Year Software Development), University of Witwatersrand ("Organization, Data, Information and Business Intelligence") and Oracle University.

This Unit Standard is intended for managers in all economic sectors. These managers would typically be second-level managers such as heads of department, section heads, or divisional heads, who may have more than one team reporting to them, and who would like to gain the skills to effectively develop and manage project plans.
The qualifying learner is capable of:
- Selecting a work-based project for a unit.
- Scoping a work-based project for a unit.
- Developing a project plan.
- Developing tools to measure key performance parameters.
- Implementing the plan and evaluating project progress.

This course will suit learners in any business unit who are responsible for leading and managing staff. It would also suit any qualifying learner who would like to earn credits towards a qualification.
Pre-Requisites
It is assumed that learners are competent in:
- Communication at NQF Level 4
- Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 4
- Computer Literacy at NQF Level 4
