This Unit Standard is intended for managers in all economic sectors. These managers would typically be second-level managers such as heads of department, section heads, or divisional heads, who may have more than one team reporting to them, and who would like a practical and actionable understanding of knowledge management.

This course will suit learners in any business unit who are responsible for leading and managing staff. It would also suit any qualifying learner who would like to earn credits towards a qualification.
It is assumed that learners are competent in:
Lesson 1
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the concepts and components of knowledge management.
Lesson 2
Analyse a unit according the entity's knowledge management policies and procedures.
Lesson 3
Develop a knowledge management implementation plan for a unit.
