To ensure teams are performing at their best, a manager must be able to accurately measure their performance and be able to act appropriately to the metrics they have recorded

This accredited course will guide and assess learners on the following:

  • Formulating performance standards for team members in a unit.
  • Establishing systems for monitoring the performance of team members.
  • Preparing for a performance review of a team member.
  • Conducting performance review interview.

Audience

This Unit Standard is intended for managers in all economic sectors. These managers would typically be second level managers such as heads of department, section heads or divisional heads, who may have more than one team reporting to them.

 

Pre-Requisites

Learners starting to learn towards this unit standard are proficient in Language, Literacy and Communication, including intrapersonal and interpersonal skills, at NQF level 4.

Course Outline / Curriculum

Lesson 1

Formulate performance standards for team members in a unit.

Lesson 2

Establish systems for monitoring performance. 

Lesson 3

Prepare for a performance review of a team member.

Lesson 4

Conduct performance review interview.
