This Unit Standard is intended for managers in all economic sectors. These managers would typically be second level managers such as heads of department, section heads or divisional heads, who may have more than one team reporting to them.

This course will suit learners in any business unit who are responsible for leading and managing staff, and who want to promote an innovative working environment.
It would also suit any qualifying learner who would like to earn credits towards a qualification.
It is assumed that learners are competent in:
